Unofficial Zelda Timeline(s?) (not final)
Here’s what I’ve gotten down so far:
Original Universe
—
Zelda (1987, NES)
Zelda II (1988, NES)
Past Universe
—
A Link to the Past (1992, SFC)
Link’s Awakening (1993, GB)
Time Universe
—
Ocarina of Time (1998, N64)
Majora’s Mask (2000, N64)
Twilight Princess (2006, Wii)
Wind Waker (2003, GC)
Phantom Hourglass (2007, NDS)
Oracle Universe
—
Oracle of Seasons (2001, GBC)
Oracle of Ages (2001, GBC)
Swords Universe
—
Minish Cap (2004, GBA)
Four Swords (2002, GBA)
Four Swords Adventures (2004, GC)
Until I can find more information that officially recognizes that some universes should be merged (e.g., Swords and Time universes), I guess I’ll leave it at that. Read more for some speculation (spoiler alert!).
Considering that we have the same Hero of Time from Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask, that Hero of Time certainly had the Triforce of Courage on the back of his hand. If this is true, why is it that the Hero of the Goddesses (Twilight Princess) also has the same Triforce piece? Did the Hero of Time die and become reincarnated as the Hero of Goddesses (as Ganondorf may have elaborated in Wind Waker, for that Link was a reincarnation according to him)? If that is true, would that mean that the Hero defined in the Time Universe would be subject to death and reincarnation for many years to come?
Or is it that there’s going to be an even bigger game that will end up explaining this (e.g., someone time travelling and messing up the storylines)?
