No screencaps this time, unless someone makes it easy for me and gives me an auto-screencap program! >:)
First things first, Makoto is hilarious. Freeloaders at their best, huh. The sponge rolling down her back was classic. Yuuichi is an asshole, and he’s good at what he does.
Secondly, no Kaori exposure? Come on, Kaori is a cool girl, after all! Out of all the girls in this anime, Kaori looks/acts the best hands down. Screw Nayuki, Ayu, or any of the other girls!
Lastly, does everyone have amnesia? Seems to me maybe they all came together one night seven years ago, ate something that put them all into a coma, and here they come one winter morning present day all having their memories screwed up. That’s gotta be fun.
Read on for spoilers regarding what might happen at end of series…
So I was discussing with a few people on our scanlation group’s channel about what might happen with the ending of the series, and at first we seem to agree that, if AIR was any indication, the ending would be really sad. However looking over TOEI’s ending as well as other information relating to the game, it’s fortunate enough to say that unless the writer has a change of heart, the ending will definitely be a lot more fulfilling and answer a lot of questions compared to how AIR was handled. Mind you AIR was a great anime, but its ending was very melancholic, just like how planetarian was handled (kinetic novel by Key).
Needless to say, I had to spoil myself, so that I’d be motivated to see how the story turns out. I’m not going to read on the other stories as I’d like to see how they develop and show the relationships between all the characters.
That’s not the only reason I’m watching Kanon though; I’m hoping for some interesting Haruhi references like the subtle ones in the last episode. Pure entertainment.
