Despite having worked on the fansub for this (and being quite a bit late behind the other competitors), I thought I’d give in my comments as to the episode thus far.

Speaking of which, if you have any suggestions on how to improve the fansub, please let me know. I’m taking notes!

The first point I’ll make clear is that I have not seen the original series. Nor do I plan to, especially being scared away by the Chin of Death among other things.

The second thing I’ll note is that all of the girls seem to have something strange about them; Ayu and her “uguu~”, Nayuki and her “telling it like it is”, Mai being the silent type, etc. It’s just weird. And given AIR used “gao~”, you’d think Key would be a bit more original about having to give girls a “gao~” or “uguu~”.

The last thing I’ll mention is that KyonYuuichi has a good deal of sarcasm this episode. I’m told though that in the original series he wasn’t this much but whatever, that’s just how it is.

Here’s my ranking of girls thus far:

1. Kaori (realistic, a bit tsundere ;))
2. Makoto (also tsundere)
3. Mai (looks good, wields sword, a bit quiet though)
4. Nayuki (tells it like it is)

Everyone else can **** off.

P.S.S. Like how Keiichi from Higurashi got the nickname “K1″, would it be fair to give Yuuichi “U1″? Sounds a bit like U2 though…
