Wow, Kyoto Animation is totally trolling people right now.
You may have noticed sites like Minori’s (archive) have been claiming foreign outcry being the reason for the troubles the eroge companies have been encountering, and that we should do something about it. That apparently, we, the foreign people, who do not hold a Japanese citizenship, should mail the Japanese government, and try to convince them to stop this. Read the rest of this entry »
This time covering the Plasma Cannon, repairing VSes, and stuff we probably already knew about Lost Planet 2. The interviewer is not GameTrailers, despite being posted on GameTrailers.
Though whether they actually follow up on this is another story. I gave my votes anyway, and will add more if I’m allowed them. That said, I wish they would actually do something, not just talk and turn it into some election issue only to be forgotten…
Also give a read to Internet Infrastructure Investment?, as that’s good.
If you have trouble killing a sniper, go and snipe them. They’re too focused on what’s in front of them, so they can’t tell if someone goes around behind them with a shotgun, or is out of their field of view and snipes them. Don’t go ranting post-game that you couldn’t kill this one guy and that he was murdering a team like no tomorrow.
Also, killing is an integral part of Lost Planet. If you don’t like being killed, don’t be on Lost Planet. Easy.
My two cents.
Now I’ll be brief here. I’ve only had the benefit of playing Colonies for the past three days, while I’ve played the original for the past, I dunno, two months? Maybe.
Overall, lagginess in the game is attributed to a greater population of Japanese and British players. It doesn’t help that Bell Canada’s DPI is messing with my Internet either, but if you play with Americans or Canadians (assuming you’re in North America), you’re in a much better position to have a more fun experience.
But not broadcast as such. Here is why:
There’s a role in here called “HD Editing”. This role is also present in shows like Gundam 00, the new Fullmetal Alchemist, .hack//GU Trilogy, etc. Shows like the first season of Haruhi, CLANNAD, Kanon, and other shows animated in SD do not have this role.
Now before you say anything, none of the TV stations are airing this in HD probably on part of Kyoto Animation’s. It’s likely that there will be a Blu-ray set for the second season (I doubt they would do the first season, and if they do, it’s likely going to be a resize like AIR).
I was watching the coverage over Lost Planet 2 by GameSpot, GameTrailers, as well as the US Playstation Blog. Came out with these points:
You can see some footage of the game:
GameTrailers – [Extended Trailer][1][2].
GameSpot – [Extended Trailer][1][2][Stage Demo]
IGN – [Extended Trailer][1][2]
GameSpot’s #1 and Stage Demo are actually the most informative of the lot, giving a lot of detail into what you can expect from Lost Planet 2.
Disappointed in pricing scheme, I’ll probably hold out. I was never in a rush to get Halo 3, and I am just as likely not going to be in a rush for ODST either. If they had it at $30-40 price range (or 2400 MS points on XBL), then I might have been more interested.
